| The genuine Mercedes iPhone 5 / 5S charging cradle.
Released mid August 2013 *** This is ONLY for cars with Bluetooth built into the head unit, I.E cars with NTG2.5, NTG3.5, NTG4, NTG4.5 and NTG5 AND with the UHI/Comfort Phone connector in your armrest (or next to the cluster on Vito/Viano/Sprinter). They will not work with COMAND systems with DVD based maps (NTG1/NTG2) or Audio-20 without inbuilt bluetooth **** When your iPhone 5 / 5S is plugged into this cradle, it charges and uses the cars external aerial. You then pair the phone with the head unit for Bluetooth functions. Note that this means that if your head unit doesn't already bluetooth to your telephone this cradle will not work for you even if you have the UHI/Comfort Phone functions, and if your iPhone 5 already pairs but will not transfer the address book (W204 & R197 SLS) then it still won't transfer the address book. These are very scarce and are on a back order of 7-10 days. Please check with us before ordering if you are unsure. This version does not have the interconnecting cable to connect to an iPod kit or Media Interface - There is no information as to when Mercedes may release a cradle with the connecting cable. |
