This is the Mercedes iPod kit for the pre MY2009 A/B/W203-C/CLK/ML/GL/R class with Audio-20, Audio-50, or DVD COMAND and pre MY2010 Vito and Viano (model 639) with Sound-20, Sound-50 or DVD based COMAND APS and steering wheel controls. It is not for vehicles with the Audio-5 or Sound-5 or for the systems fitted with Bluetooth built into the head unit (see our other iPod kits) Vito/Viano/Sprinter: The vehicle must have the multifunction steering wheel with telephone buttons and cluster display. If you have comand you will have this. The vito/viano/sprinter option code for the multifunction steering wheel is CL4. Also it is not compatible with Vito/Viano/Sprinter with reversing camera. - This iPod kit takes about an hour to install, and allows you to use your iPod with the steering wheels on your car. Track, playlist and other information is displayed on the instrument cluster display (and not the COMAND/Audio 20 display). The iPod tucks nicely away in the glovebox can can be held in place with the optional iPod cradle (dependant on iPod type). If your car does not have the integrated phone system, then you may need to have the steering wheel controls enabled by a MB dealer or specialist. Enabling the controls should take about 15 minutes using their diagnostic computer.
