Media Interface retrofit kit for the R172 SLK Class (Special order part, will take approx 7-10 days to deliver, please tell us your VIN when ordering) Media Interface retrofit kit for the R172 SLK Class This kit allows you to retrofit the factory-fit Media Interface (also known as UCI) to your SLK vehicle with COMAND or audio-20 six disk changer. It is not suitable for cars with single disk Audio-20 system. You will also need to purchase the appropriate Media Interface cable set or the cable to connect to the iPhone/3G/4/4G/5 cradle if you have an iPhone comfort phone cradle. The Media interface provide full iPod (or iPhone music functionality) controllable from the Audio system screen and controls and the steering wheel controls/cluster display, a USB memory device interface, or a 3.5mm aux input, depending which cable you are using. It can also be linked to the iPhone / iPhone3G comfort telephone cradle. (You need to purchase the appropriate cable set depending which one of the above functions you which to use). It is not suitable for cars with single disk Audio-20 system (i.e no navigation system or integrated six disk changer) Your car's audio software may need updating using Star Diagnosis (dealer computer). You may need the dealer to update the car's datacard and code the audio unit to tell it there is a Media Interface present. Full instructions included. Approx 2 hours to fit.
