| This is a kit using all genuine parts for installing a reversing camera in your Mercedes R Class. This kit is for cars without TV with DVD COMAND up to and incuding MY2008 (i.e cars upto and including chassis nr WDC251xxxxA090073) Not suitable for US / Canada vehicles, please contact us if you want a kit for a US or Canadian vehicle. For cars before MY2007 please look at the rear door handle to ensure there is a cut out for the camera. If there is none you will have to order a new handle and on some vehicles cut a hole behind it for the camera/wiring to pass through. Please contact us if you have a MY2009 or later car as we can supply the parts for those although the camera is about £200 more from MY2010. Installation involves removing some of the left and right hand side boot trim panels, the rear door panel and running the video wire to the front of the rear of the COMAND unit, then having the COMAND coded for Reversing Camera so that it selects the reversing camera when you select reverse. Please check that your COMAND unit has the green fakra video connector on the rear (not needed for USA/Canada vehicles).
