| This is a very high quality after-market camera for Mercedes vehicles where a factory camera was not available but the head unit its COMAND NTG2.5 or COMAND NTG4.5 that supports a reverse camera.
The kit includes the converter needed to convert the aftermarket RCA to match the connector on the COMAND. A small hole in the bumper or boot handle must be drilled (cutter supplied) and the camera is then fitted to the hole. Please note that to configure COMAND NTG2.5 to enable the reverse camera needs a Mercedes Specialist with Star Diagnosis and Developer licence. Please note that on the R171 SLK an additional relay is needed to power the reverse camera when reverse is selected. |
