| The ViseeO MBU-3000 is the latest bluetooth adapter for your Mercedes Benz vehicle with the Nokia 6x00 integrated phone system. It recently replaced the hugely successful ViseeO MBU-3000 bluetooth adapter for Mercedes Benz and now uses the Parrot Bluetooth chipset and thus works with all the latest bluetooth capable telephones and supports the iPhone Siri features too.
The MBU-3000 now means that you no longer have to keep a Nokia 6150/6210/6310 just to use the steering wheel controls in your Mercedes, or find someone that can replace the phone system with the new Mercedes exchangeable cradle system. ** Now with Free UK Shipping ** This device is the same shape as a Nokia Nokia 6150/6210/6310 phone, and clips into the cradle in your Mercedes. The Mercedes phone system then believes it has a Nokia phone connected, enabling the steering wheel controls, display in the cluster and on the COMAND screen. The device then uses bluetooth to actually connect to your mobile phone, and hey presto, you have your bluetooth phone working with your Mercedes phone system. So, you can now throw away your old Nokia 6150/6210/6310 and use a new phone, via bluetooth with your Mercedes steering wheel controls and screen. The device has the Parrot Chipset, so works perfectly with almost all phones. The ViseeO does not support sending/receiving SMS messages The alternative is to have your whole phone system removed and replaced with the newer system (which your dealer will say is impossible) - and that is significantly more expensive. Please note that if you are using an iPhone, then your car will need either steering wheel controls or an answer button on the Audio system you have. This is because the iPhone routes sound to a bluetooth device if calls are answered on the bluetooth device and not when they are answered on the iPhone. Of course, with other phones, if you dont have an answer button on the car, then you will need to answer the call on the phone itself. Please note that if your car has UHI (exchangeable cradle system) you must use the ViseeO MB-4 which replaces that cradle rather than plugging a MBU-1000 / MBU-3000 into the existing 6310i cradle. If you are using this product in the SL with the curly cord phone cradle, on a few cars the glovebox lid pushes the top button of the ViseeO and drops the connection if you go over a bump. This can be fixed by taking a rubber bump stop from the bottom of the car's cradle in it's open position and sticking it onto the ViseeO cradle.
